This Memorial Day, let us remember the men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation. Let us resolve to honor their memories by dedicating ourselves to excellence in our vital mission at the Maneuver Center of Excellence.

Follow these tips for a safe and enjoyable weekend:

If you consume alcohol, do not drive. Always have a designated driver.

Wear seatbelts and obey posted speed limits.

Those operating a motorcycle must wear a helmet and other approved motorcycle personal protective equipment.

Wear personal flotation devices while operating watercraft and only swim in authorized areas.

Prevent heat injuries. Avoid overexposure to the sun and high temperatures. Drink plenty of water and minimize vigorous activities during periods of high temperatures and humidity.

Soldiers planning a trip outside the Chattahoochee Valley area must complete a Travel Risk Planning System report at https://safety.army.mil.

As you spend time with family and friends this weekend, please take a moment to remember our fellow Soldiers who are serving around the world, especially those serving in Afghanistan.

One Force, One Fight!
