More than 200 Soldiers from the force will participate in the 2013 U.S. Army Small Arms Championships which kicked off Monday and lasts through Feb. 8.
Hosted by the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit, the field consists of active-duty Soldiers, U.S. Army Reservists, National Guardsman, and cadets.
The 12-day event will take place on USAMU ranges on post. Soldiers will train and compete in pistol, rifle and combined arms matches.
The All-Army is held to proliferate effective marksmanship training and increase overall Army combat readiness as marksmanship remains the paramount Soldier skill. Training and skill exercises are applicable to all military small arms firing disciplines.
