The Maneuver Conference kicks off Monday and will wrap up Sept. 20 at the Columbus Convention and Trade Center, also known as the Iron Works, in downtown Columbus.
This years conference focuses on the moral, physical and cognitive components of Soldier, leader and organizational development and performance essential to prepare and employ the Army across the range of military operations, Maneuver Center of Excellence officials said.
These innovations are improving training and education in the areas of counter-improvised explosive device detection, cultural understanding, advanced situational awareness, Comprehensive Soldier and Family Fitness, immersive learning, and understanding complex environments.
Topics to be discussed include: current and emerging threats; combined-arms maneuver; home station training and the Army training strategy; and the Armor and Infantry commandants updates.
During the conference, defense contractors exhibit their latest, relevant technologies.
