The Ranger Training Brigade and the 75th Ranger Regiment will conduct the 2012 Ranger Hall of Fame induction ceremony at the Maneuver Center of Excellence headquarters, McGinnis-Wickam Hall, at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Marshall Auditorium. The event is open to the public.
The following Rangers will be inducted: Retired Lt. Gen. James Dubik; retired Cols. Robert Powell and Robert Murphy; retired Command Sgts. Maj. Alfred Birch, Joe Heckard and Gerald Klein; former 1st Sgt. Frank Mattivi; and Staff Sgt. Robert Miller and Col. Richard Malvesti, who were killed in action.
Since 1992, the Ranger Hall of Fame has recognized the contributions of Americas top Rangers. Selected from Ranger units and associations representing each era of Ranger history, inductees must have served in a Ranger unit during combat or graduated from Ranger School.
The inductees photos and citations will be preserved at the Ranger Training Brigade headquarters in Building 5024.
