Market Days on Broadway has begun and will continue every Saturday through November from 9 a.m. to Noon. This diverse market has become a popular Saturday morning excursion featuring locally grown farm fresh produce, fresh baked goods, fresh flowers, art, and handcrafted items that will delight you in Uptown Columbus. Every weekend you can find something different, and you can always find the perfect gift for the hard-to-shop for person in your life. All of the Markets items are either locally grown or handmade. Uptowns Market was created to support local farmers and businesses and create a sense of community in the Columbus area.
This year, the market features more than 70 vendors, and each weekend Uptown Columbus has filled the median with a different band or nonprofit group. This weekend, PAWS Humane will be on site with animal adoptions, so you can add a furry friend to your family. The weekend of June 30 local musician Brian Mallard will entertain the crowd from 10 a.m. to noon. The first Saturday of every month, Oxbow Meadows visits the Market with a Creature Feature. You never know what creature they might bring! If you havent checked out the Uptowns Market Days, pack the kids and head down to Broadway this Saturday. They can get their face painted, check out the live chickens, eat lunch and grab a cookie all in one central location.
Uptown Columbus also has two more concerts this month The Soul Proprietors on Friday and The Kingdom Take Ova on June 29. Both shows will start at 7 p.m. on Broadway. Bring a lawn chair and picnic, grab some ice cream from Brothers General Store, and have a great night in Uptown.
